These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of our website and services. By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our Service.

1. About ELECMART

ELECMART is an online store operating in Sri Lanka, offering electronics, electrical items, LED lighting solutions, home décor products, and smart/home automation devices.

Throughout this website, the terms “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to ELECMART , while “you” refers to the customer or user.

2. Eligibility to Use the Website

By using this website, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age, or

  • You are using the website under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian

3. Products & Availability

  • All products listed on ELECMART are subject to availability

  • Product images are for illustration purposes only; actual products may vary slightly

  • We reserve the right to modify product specifications, pricing, or availability without prior notice

4. Pricing & Payment Methods

All prices displayed on ELECMART are in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) and may change without prior notice.

4.1 Cash on Delivery (COD)

  • Available for selected locations and eligible products within Sri Lanka

  • Full payment must be made at the time of delivery

  • Orders may be verified before dispatch

  • ELECMART reserves the right to restrict COD based on order value, delivery location, or customer history

4.2 Bank Transfer

  • Payments may be made via direct bank transfer to our designated account

  • Orders will be processed only after payment confirmation

  • Customers must provide accurate payment references or proof of transfer

  • ELECMART is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect transfer details

4.3 KOKO (PayKOKO) – Instalment Facility

  • Instalment payments are provided through KOKO (PayKOKO)

  • This service is operated and managed by Dinnovation (Pvt) Ltd

  • Instalment eligibility, approval, repayment schedules, credit limits, and penalties are determined solely by KOKO

  • ELECMART does not control or influence KOKO approval decisions and is not responsible for instalment rejections, repayment disputes, late fees, or credit score impact

4.4 Credit / Debit Card Payments (OnePay)

  • Card payments are securely processed via the OnePay payment gateway

  • ELECMART does not store, process, or access customer card details

  • Transactions are subject to bank authorization, OnePay security checks, and card network rules

  • ELECMART is not liable for payment failures, bank delays, or technical issues arising from OnePay or issuing banks

4.5 Payment Authorization & Fraud Prevention

ELECMART reserves the right to:

  • Verify customer identity

  • Hold or cancel suspicious transactions

  • Refuse service in cases of suspected fraud, abuse, or pricing errors

5. Order Acceptance & Confirmation

  • Orders are confirmed only after successful payment verification

  • We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order at our discretion

  • If an order is cancelled after payment, refunds will be processed according to our Refund & Exchange Policy

6. Delivery & Shipping

  • Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to courier or external factors

  • ELECMART is not responsible for delays caused by third-party delivery providers

  • Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information

7. Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

All returns, refunds, and exchanges are governed by our Refund & Exchange Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms & Conditions.

8. Smart Devices & Home Automation Disclaimer

Smart devices, IoT products, and home automation equipment sold on ELECMART (including but not limited to smart switches, smart relays, sensors, controllers, and WiFi enabled devices) require proper installation, compatible infrastructure, and stable internet connectivity for correct operation.

By purchasing and using smart or home automation products from ELECMART, you acknowledge and agree that:

Installation & Electrical Safety

  • Products connected to mains electricity must be installed by a qualified electrician or technician

  • Incorrect wiring, improper installation, or unauthorized modification may cause product malfunction, property damage, or personal injury

  • ELECMART shall not be responsible for damages resulting from improper installation or use outside manufacturer guidelines

Network, App & Cloud Dependency

  • Many smart devices rely on third-party mobile applications, firmware, and cloud services (including eWeLink, Tuya, Smart Life, Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa)

  • Stable 2.4GHz WiFi connectivity and compatible networking equipment are required unless otherwise specified

  • ELECMART does not control or guarantee the availability, continuity, or performance of third-party apps, servers, or cloud platforms

  • Features, user interfaces, or service availability may change without notice due to updates by manufacturers or platform providers

Compatibility Disclaimer

  • Compatibility with routers, smartphones, operating systems, voice assistants, and third-party platforms is subject to manufacturer specifications

  • ELECMART does not guarantee compatibility with all devices, ISPs, or network configurations

  • Customers are responsible for verifying compatibility before purchase

Firmware, Software & Updates

  • Firmware updates and app configuration are managed by the manufacturer or platform provider

  • ELECMART is not responsible for issues arising from software updates, discontinued features, or changes in app functionality

Warranty Limitations

  • Warranty does not cover damage caused by:

    • Power surges, voltage fluctuations, or lightning

    • Incorrect wiring, reverse polarity, or overloading

    • Water exposure (unless explicitly rated waterproof)

    • Physical damage, tampering, or unauthorized repairs

    • Use outside specified voltage, load, or environmental conditions

Limitation of Liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, ELECMART shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from smart device usage

  • Smart devices are not intended for life-critical or safety-critical systems unless explicitly stated by the manufacturer

9. Warranty & Product Usage

Warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • Power surges, voltage fluctuations, or lightning

  • Incorrect wiring or reverse polarity

  • Water exposure unless explicitly rated waterproof

  • Physical damage, tampering, or unauthorized repairs

  • Use outside specified voltage, load, or environmental limits

10. User Responsibilities

You agree:

  • Not to misuse the website or attempt unauthorized access

  • Not to upload malicious software or harmful content

  • To provide accurate and complete information when placing orders

11. Intellectual Property

All content on ELECMART, including text, images, logos, graphics, and design elements, is the property of ELECMART and may not be used without prior written permission.

12. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. ELECMART has no control over and assumes no responsibility for their content, policies, or practices.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ELECMART shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

  • Loss of data, service interruptions, or third-party failures

  • Payment gateway, banking, or instalment provider issues

Liability, if any, shall be limited to the value of the confirmed transaction.

14. Termination of Access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the website without notice if these Terms & Conditions are violated.

15. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka, with exclusive jurisdiction of Sri Lankan courts.
